the plants we received were not Hosta 'Andrew'

The leaves are edged with tiny bright red teeth

whose foliage appeared to be a hybrid swarm of Hibiscus coccineus and Hibiscus laevis

soils that stay slightly moist to average are fine

Polygonatum odoratum Red Legs Tecomaria topped in late April/early MayPolygonatum odoratum 'Red Legs' is a superb, but little known selection of the Asian Solomon's Seal from Massachusetts plantsman, Leo Blanchette. The 20" tall, bright carmine red stalks are clothed with leaves, which mature at 6" long x 3. 5" wide. This selection has the largest foliage of any of the red stalked selections of Polygonatum odoratum. Polygonatum 'Red Legs' is not the same as Polygonatum odoratum 'Ruby Slippers' (aka: Red Stem).
